The 89th Annual Chicago to Mackinac Race started in Chicago on July 20, 1996. This site is designed to help you plan your participation in or observation of this great sailing event. Our coverage continues until the last boat crosses the finish line. The Torresen Sailing Page will provide results and other information from a variety of sources. In addition to information from the race committee, we will have our own staff providing updates. We appreciate all the positive comments about our 1995 Chicago to Mackinac coverage. Our site will provide you with more photos of the event than any other site. This year we plan more coverage based on your input. If you can't be on the water, you'll want to be here.
