1995 Chicago-Mackinac Race Update

Muskegon and Mackinac Island, Michigan

The US Coast Guard Cutter Brambel is this years escort for the Chicago to Mackinac Island Race. As of 1400 today the Bramble made the following reports:

Location of the cutter is north of Big Sable Point. That location would put it about one half of the way along the course. There are several boats in sight of the Bramble. While there it is not suspected that these boats are the leaders those on the cutter suspect that the leaders are not too much futher ahead of their location.

The following boats were in sight of the cutter at reporting time:

Some outlets had earlier reported that the boat Winddancer was out of the race. This is not correct. Winddancer is still in the race. The confusion was caused by the exit of Wavedancer from the race.
