Great Placed to Watch the Boats From Shore:
The eastern shore of Lake Michigan is dotted with wonderful places to see the boats from shore.  If you were not able to follow the boats up the shoreline this year, plan to do it next year.  It is a great way to spend a weekend and you may just be amazed by the beautiful places you will get to visit along the way.

Leelanau County (Number One Pick For Viewing Options ... and simple beauty)  Spotters will find viewing points at Empire, Glen Arbor (Sleeping Bear Dunes Life Saving Station and Maritime Museum), Pyramid Point and Leland.  Watch out ... once you step into the charm of Leland's fishing village you may not want to leave.

Manistee, Michigan
The city park / beach at Manistee's harbor can be used as a view point.

Ludington, Michigan
The section of land known as Little Sable Point is one of the most southerly points often used by shore observers.

Muskegon, Michigan
Our home town and a location where from time to time you are able to see the boats pass from shore.
